Easy as 1-2-3 cream cheese frosting

An all-purpose cream cheese frosting for cakes, cupcakes, and bread. It takes less than 5 minutes to make! You can zap the butter and cream cheese in the microwave in 30-second intervals to soften them if they came straight from the fridge or freezer.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter 1 stick of butter, softened, I used salted and it was OK
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese 1 brick, softened
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar sifted

Instructions

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Whip the softened butter and cream cheese until fluffy, about 3 minutes using a stand mixer or hand mixer.
  • Combine the vanilla extract into the cream cheese and butter mixture.
  • Fold in the powdered sugar until evenly combined. Your frosting is ready to use on the cake.
  • Gently brush the cake you intend to frost with the cream cheese frosting. A spatula works well for this purpose. Enjoy your cream cheese frosting!
